DealShed

Safety Advice

Your safety is our absolute priority. To ensure a secure trading experience on Deal Shed, always follow our core safety principles: meet in well lit, public spaces for in person collections, never share sensitive banking credentials, and thoroughly inspect items before finalizing a payment. If an offer or interaction feels suspicious, report it to our moderation team immediately using the flag icon on the listing.

When arranging a handover, choose a busy public place such as a shopping centre car park or a Garda station meeting point, and bring a friend along if you can. Trust your instincts: if a deal looks too good to be true, it usually is. Be wary of anyone who pressures you to pay upfront, asks for a deposit before you have seen the item, or wants to move the conversation off DealShed to email or a messaging app. We will never ask for your bank password or card PIN, and no genuine buyer or seller needs those details. For higher value items like cars or machinery, verify documents in person and take your time. If something feels off, stop, and report the listing or user so our team can investigate and protect the rest of the community.
